Healogics® is actively following the coronavirus situation closely and takes the health and safety of our patients and team members very seriously. This is an emerging, rapidly evolving situation and we are closely monitoring the most up-to-date recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
We recognize how important it is that patients continue to receive their wound care treatments during the COVID-19 outbreak to limit their potential of needing hospital assistance. During the COVID-19 outbreak hospitals in some areas may run the risk of being overtaxed. Ongoing wound care treatments can help to limit wound care-related emergency room visits and hospital admissions.
Your best protection against all respiratory viruses is to:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Make sure to cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Practice frequent hand washing.
Common signs of infection include fever and respiratory symptoms, including cough and shortness of breath. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms please contact your Wound Care Center® before coming in for your appointment so we may best accommodate you.
For the most current information about COVID-19 and recommendations for keeping yourself and your family healthy, we recommend visiting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
